Cellestial Dream, “Randall”, is a beautiful bay 7-year-old Oldenburg gelding with a white star on his face and white socks. Randall was imported from Germany. His sire was Cellestial and his dam was Zallina. Randall is owned and loved by Eva Linke, who has another horse in our book that you will read about, MTM On Point. This dynamic duo trains with Jeff White out of Whitehorse Farms in McKinney, TX.
Eva’s favorite memory is from not long ago when her husband who hasn’t ridden for years got on Randall and was leisurely trotting and cantering him around. To most this doesn’t sound like a big deal, many forget how powerful these animals can be. Especially for one who doesn’t ride and or is out of practice. Randall is one who is no exception, he is a powerful beast that doesn’t blink twice when it comes to jumping a 4′ fence, and until recently could be only ridden by professionals. “I was almost in tears when I saw him taking care of my husband. Our boy has grown up!”, shared Eva. It really is wild when they know that they just need to be. They have someone on them and they take care of that person. These are truly extraordinary creatures.
Eva’s trainer tried him out in Houston about 2 years ago. They decided to buy him but they didn’t bring him up to Dallas until a month later. “I drove to Houston for another reason in the meantime and decided to stop at the barn where he was to visit him. I spent a few hours there with this amazing horse, took a gazillion pictures, and was so excited for him to come home to us. A few days later, I found out that the horse I spent time with was NOT Randall but another horse! Apparently, there was a mixup. I was so disappointed…but when he finally did get home, he was even more gorgeous and sweet than the other horse. I was ecstatic!”
Randall jumps anything regardless of height, he is incredibly athletic. He likes to grab everything with his mouth. From clothes to hair, cross ties, brooms sitting next to his stall to blankets…anything he can get a hold of to play with. He also likes when you play with his muzzle.
Randall isn’t picky when it comes to treats. Some of his favorite treats are horse cookies and carrots.
Randall has gained many impressive accomplishments thus far in his career, recently he received Champion in the Green Hunters, as well as, 3rd in a National Hunter Derby (as a green horse).
Eva started riding as an adult beginner about 5 years ago with lessons. Then eventually she decided it was time for a horse of her “own” to dabble with, what better way to start than with a half-lease and/or lease?! She decided to half-leased a horse, which lead her to purchase one shortly after. Now Eva owns 5 horses and shows regularly. To say she caught the bug is an understatement! Eva also has a few retired horses which live at her home. Eva shares that her favorite thing about owning horses is the relationship between horse and rider/owner. “I am always in awe that this large and strong animal can be so gentle, loving, and kind.”
