CASINO | 10 YEAR- OLD HANOVERIAN GELDING | FORT WORTH, TX
Casino, a 10-year-old Hanoverian, is a stunning combination of flea-bitten and dapple gray. Standing at around 16.2 hands, he sports a distinctive little pink snip on his nose. Casino was bred by Fritz Klages. Casino currently trains at October Hill Farms, and his rider, Jennifer Palko, has been leasing him for about two months.
Jennifer’s journey with Casino began when her previous horse was injured, leaving her in need of a temporary mount. Coincidentally, Casino had just arrived at her barn. Initially, Casino was super spooky, and their first ride was anything but smooth. However, as they spent more time together, their bond grew stronger. Their first show together at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center ended on a high note, with a personal best and a second-place finish in the 1.15 class. This experience underscored the importance of trust in building a successful team.
Casino’s personality is still unfolding for Jennifer, but one unique trait she has noticed is his habit of rubbing his tongue on his teeth when he’s hungry. This makes a weird noise, and he will continue to do it until he is fed. Casino loves bananas but absolutely hates peppermints.
Jennifer has only shown Casino at one event so far, but they performed impressively, securing second place in the 1.15 class and earning enough points to apply for the Zone Championships this summer. She is very pleased with their progress and looks forward to their future together.
Jennifer’s love for horses began with a horse camp in kindergarten, and she has owned a horse for almost two years now. Her favorite aspect of owning horses is learning and building strong bonds with her equine partners. She believes there is nothing stronger than the bond between a girl and her horse. Currently, Jennifer is leasing Casino and is excited about the journey ahead with him.
