Cabulous WH | “Eddie” | Macy White | Whitehedge Farm LLC | Anne Hedge | Brawley Farms | Bob Brawley

Cabulous WH, “Eddie”, is a 5-year-old Westphalian Stallion. This handsome Stallion was bred by Cyndi DeBracy. His sire is Cabalito, and his dam is Sea Accounts xx. Eddie is a beautiful bay owned and ridden by Macy White. The pair trains at Brawley Farms in Double Oak, TX with Bob Brawley, as well as, Whitehedge Farm LLC with Anne Hedge in Aubrey, TX, who just so happens to be Macy’s mom.

Macy’s mom, Anne, received Eddie through her barn as a sales horse. The plan was to geld and sell him but the pair quickly found out his true quality and fell in love with his phenomenal brain. “Eddie had been turned out in the field with five other stallions his whole life and was barely even halter broke when we got him as a 4-year-old. My mom ended up surprising me by purchasing him for me for my 17th birthday! I started him under saddle myself and have done all of the riding on him with help from my trainers.” shared Macy.

Macy has done some extremely incredible things thus far with Eddie in such a short amount of time having him and being a junior, she shares that, “Eddie” was licensed as a breeding stallion last year by the German Oldenburg Verband and Westphalian Verband with some impressive scores. We also then attended his first three days of the North American Stallion test in Maryland in October where he was a test favorite of many there and received excellent scores for his rideability, jumping, and temperament. To my knowledge, I was the first Junior rider to prepare and present a stallion at the North American Stallion Test. I was also competing in Harrisburg at Dover Medal finals the week before on my mare Viva’s Glory. So, Eddie got to tag along on the way to Harrisburg. We joke that he has big shoes to fill if Harrisburg was his first actual Horse Show to ever go to! He did not blink an eye at anything and took at all in stride which was so impressive in such a baby horse who was only under saddle for six months.”

Eddie is probably the most easy-going, sweet stallion my mom or I have ever met. He loves giving kisses and also being turned out every day in a big pasture next to a couple of gelding friends which he also spends all day trying to kiss over the fence. By the end of the day, they all have slobber all over their faces but never a scratch!

Eddie’s treat of choice is carrots, in his feed bucket.

Macy shared her riding journey with us, coming from a family warmblood farm and business, riding is in her blood and she has been riding her whole life. She shares that although she grew up on a farm, she doesn’t take it for granted and is extremely blessed to have been able to grow up where she did having this be a part of her everyday life. “I really enjoy training young horses from the start and developing them into top Hunter and Jumper show horses.”
