BRAXTON | 17 YEARS OLD DUTCH WARMBLOOD | CONROE, TX

Bo, Braxton, is a Dutch Warmblood Gelding. He lives at Brookside Pine Farms in Conroe, TX.

Bo stands out with his distinct characteristic of being entirely bay with no white markings, and his sweet disposition, slight laziness, and remarkable ease make him a pleasure to be around. He remains unfazed by jumps, always longs for more grain than he is allowed, and each time Barbara emerges from the tack room, he greets her with a cheerful nod in anticipation of treats.

Bo has been a beloved member of Barbara’s family for a decade now; imported at the age of four as a dressage horse, their trainer Berry has known him since then. However, it turned out that Bo disliked dressage and transitioned to the world of jumping at the age of six. They became enamored with him, eventually purchasing him at the age of seven.

Bo has proven to be a talented jumper, having achieved the impressive feat of becoming a high children’s jumper zone finalist at a young age. Now, he enjoys leisurely cruising around the 2’6″ jumps with Barbara, always eager to pick up some primary-colored ribbons along the way.

Barbara had longed to ride since childhood but only had a few sporadic opportunities to do so. She cherishes countless memories with her beloved horse Bo, but her favorite one dates back to when they first bought him. Back then, her daughter Natalie was only 13 years old, and they had just moved to Brookside Pine. Natalie rode Bo throughout her junior year, initially as a jumper before he became her equitation practice horse.

When Natalie went off to college, Barbara took over the reins and Bo transformed into an incredible adult amateur hunter horse. Throughout the 10 years they have had him, Bo has been a constant and reliable presence in their riding. He propelled Natalie’s career to new heights and has been everything Barbara could have ever asked for. Bo truly is the horse of a lifetime for both of them.
