Bellin is a Holsteiner Mare. Her sire is Cardento and her dam is Avies Perfect Copy. She was bred by Peggy Ross. Bellini lives and trains at Morrison Farms in Tomball, TX.
Bellini is a beautiful dark bay horse with no chrome. What sets her apart are the adorable wrinkles above her eyes that give her a unique and endearing look. She has a mare’s disposition and is not afraid to let you know when she is unhappy, especially when you put her girth on. But don’t let that fool you, she’s an absolute sweetheart outside of the ring. When it’s time to compete in the jumper ring, Bellini is a total athlete and machine. Her skills and athleticism are truly impressive, and she’s a joy to watch in action.
Mollie, Bellini’s owner, was first introduced to her through her trainer. She had been asked to ride Bellini while her owner was away at college. At first, Bellini was a bit intimidating to ride, but as time went on, Mollie found herself falling in love with the horse’s unique personality and spirit. Despite the initial challenges, Bellini has taught Mollie so much about riding and has become an integral part of her life.
Bellini has a unique taste when it comes to treats. Her favorite treats are coffee and bananas! While most horses tend to prefer traditional treats such as carrots and apples, Bellini has her own taste buds, and she simply adores the combination of coffee and bananas. Her owner often indulges her with these tasty treats, which always bring a big smile to Bellini’s face.
Bellini has achieved a great feat in her riding career. She participated in the Monster Mash show’s costume contest, which had around 80 contestants, and managed to take the top spot! Bellini is not only a talented jumper but also an all-around star, with a winning personality and a great sense of style.
Mollie has been riding horses since she was just five years old, and it’s been a passion that has stayed with her ever since. Over the years, she has leased several horses and gained a wealth of experience and knowledge about these magnificent animals. And now, she is the proud owner of Bellini, whom she adores. For Mollie, there’s no single favorite thing about owning a horse, as every aspect of it is simply great. The bond and connection she shares with Bellini, the thrill of competing, and the joy of spending time with such a majestic creature all make it a truly wonderful experience.
Mollie has countless fond memories with Bellini, but one that stands out as her favorite is the weekend of the Monster Mash show. The pair had an incredible time competing, winning Champion a couple of times during the event. However, the best part was when they took part in the costume contest and won! Mollie recalls how much fun they had, and Bellini seemed to be having a great time in her costume. It was a fantastic weekend filled with unforgettable moments, and Mollie will always treasure the memory of that special time spent with her beloved mare.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. During the 2023 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 150 Horses and Dogs and was able to donate just under $15,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston.
