Meet Bosco, otherwise known as “Banter” in the show ring. Bosco is a 9-year-old Bay Gelding imported from Germany. He has 4 white socks, a white snippet along his face which travels to his nose, and his most distinguishable trait, the absolute thickest mane, and tail you’ll ever lay eyes on. Bosco is owned and adored by Carly Lazzari who trains with Will Roberts out of Pine Hollow Farm in New Caney, TX.
Carly shares that her favorite memory with Bosco was the first time the pair placed champion together in Michigan. “I won 3 out of 5 classes that day and we hadn’t shown much. It was a great accomplishment together since we were just starting to know each other.” Carly shares that although that day brought back special memories, the day that sticks with her the most and makes her the happiest is the day she got Bosco! “It was one of the best days, I was thrilled to have him!”
Carly’s trainer found Bosco in Kentucky. She went looking for one horse but as fate had it, she ended up leaving with two! After trying many horses, Will found two that thought would be a perfect fit, one especially (this one was Bosco), so Carly tries both – hoping to choose one but she had fallen in love with both Beau & Bosco. Carly recently sold Beau “Boardwalk”, but he was loved immensely and had a great career with Will Roberts at Pine Hollow Farm.
Bosco is described as a big puppy dog! He is always licking and asking for cookies. He has the kindest and most loving personality and is eager to please. Bosco isn’t a picky eater whatsoever and loves absolutely anything and everything! He especially loves Paddock Cakes with peppermints in the middle.
Carly has been riding horses since she was a young girl and got her first horse as a teenager. She’s been in love with horses ever since she was a little girl. Nobody in Carly’s family rode, it was something that she picked up on her own and now has passed on to her daughter, Caitlyn. The pair get the share their love for horses and ride together at Pine Hollow Farm. Carly also has a retired horse who lives at her house in Boerne, TX along with many other animals.
