Little Bit Amped, Peanut, is by the stellar dressage stallion Ampere (Rousseau/ Flemmingh/ Amor) out of Wendemillion “Milli”; by Maverick RF (Mannhattan/ Vosmaer/Saluut) out of a Wendesohn/ Electus mare. Her dam line is full of multi talented horses and stallions that have produced both GP dressage and Jumping horses. Peanut was bred by her owner Heather.
Peanut is a blood bay with a blaze and right hind sock and lives in Kaufman, Texas at Timeless Sport Horses. While Peanut is the essence of a young dressage prospect, Heather is secretly hoping that she has a talent for jumping as well as her stellar movement. She makes all the funny faces and loves to play with her top lip. She is to young at the moment to ride, but she will be focused towards the dressage, or hopefully, hunter ring. Heather says she loves carrot flavored treats and can be summed up in the word “overachiever” since she just won her yearling class at Young Horse Show on April 22nd.
Heather explains, “I bred her, she was the result of the first breeding I bought as a breeder and a mare that I decided to take a huge chance on. She was sweet and in-your-pocket, from her first moments. She would follow me around the stall right away. She needed a little help nursing at first but got it all straightened out after 8 hours. She has been an overachiever ever since. I was extremely proud to be her breeder at her first show. She won her class with an amazing score of 8.43, and was hugely complemented by the judges. But, more than that she was a very good girl! She was nervous leaving her friends at the stalls, but made it to the arena, wowed the judges and made it back. Loaded on the trailer to come home like a pro and really grew. She definitely exceeded my expectations!”
