Atomic is a 14-year-old Warmblood Gelding. He lives at Timber Ridge Farms in Magnolia, TX where the pair train with Laura Mendoza.
Atomic is ridden by 17-year-old Samantha. Atomic is a complete nerd. He snorts and spooks at the silliest of things, but is loved dearly by Samantha. The second he steps into the show ring or does something that he finds fun, nothing else matters in the world.
The pair won the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show high child/adult jumper stake in 2019. “We had been having a rough week finding our groove but the second we walked into the ring, I knew he felt ready to go and I was right!” The pair are currently competing in the Low Junior jumpers.
At the time Samantha was looking for a new lease horse, everything happened to fall into place perfectly and Atomic became available. She fell in love with him from the moment she rode him. Their greatest accomplishment was winning the Zone Team Jumper Championships and finishing third in the individual finals. They have accomplished so much together, and hopefully many more to come!
