The evolution of life.
It is sort of crazy how we end up places we never dreamed imaginable.
What started out as spending time at Windy Knoll Farm photographing horses quickly turned into my career, which took a hard right turn and landed me with an extremely successful wedding and newborn photography business.
One day I woke up, and asked myself, “What happened to where this all started?”
And the next few weeks would be a whirlwind which ended in launching my equine photography brand, Karinda K Equine Photography.
I set out to photograph 365 Horses that year, with a project called 365 Days of Horses. I spent all year reading through applications and finding horses with phenomenal stories to go photograph so that I could share their stories and images of these special horses with the world.
Little did I know, that this not so little goal of mine would evolve into such a HUGE thing.
I quickly began to realize how much I truly loved working with equestrians and their horses around the world.
Oh, and in the processes I found a new side of myself. An adventurous side of myself that decided it is ok to take chances, to stand out from the crowd, to be a unicorn in a field of horses..and most importantly to believe in magic.
I have found my secret superpower over the past couple of years photographing equestrians with their horses.
My superpower… well, you see, I am sort of like a fairy godmother.
For most horse people, getting to own a horse of their own is a magical experience.
I love getting to bring that magic to life through beautiful, whimsical, fairytale like portraits for my clients and their horses.
Although there is a part of me that is whimsical and free spirited, I also value and love truly classic pieces of art.
There is nothing greater than walking through a museum and seeing a piece of art that stops you in your tracks.
When I first started down my journey of photographing horses I knew that I wanted to create a piece of art that truly told the story of each and every horse that I photographed, and would leave their owner with a museum worthy art piece for their home….a conversation starter for each and every person who laid their eyes upon it, because they would want to know more about the magnificent horse in that portrait.
A true once in a lifetime piece of art.
Each and every horse that comes into our life is special, and deserves to be celebrated and remembered for an eternity.
What is the new Karinda K. you ask?!
Well over the years my business has evolved and I am now simplifying to keep everything in one convenient place for my past, present and future clients to find and keep up to date with what is happening and where I am headed next.
Designs by Karinda Newborn Photography & Karinda K Wedding Photography now all fall under the umbrella of Karinda K. with my Equine Photography.
I will be focusing on all things equestrian and horses including my signature Whimsical Horse & Rider Portraits and Fine Art Black Background Portraits.
Now for the biggest question of them all, “Will you still be booking Newborn Sessions or Weddings?”
Yes, I will still be accepting a very limited number of Weddings & Newborn Sessions for past clients or referrals from current or past clients.
