What to Wear Wednesday | NRBC Edition Featuring CR Ranch Wear

This week is NRBC Week so of course I had to feature some of the other amazing vendors that are at NRBC this week. I have always adored CR Ranch Wear and I just so happen to be set up right down the way from the fabulous silver Airstream so it only made sense to create a look featuring some of their items.

So most people think that I am obsessed with the color purple…thanks to my purple hair..so it was only natural that when I started searching for the perfect piece to center this look around I ended up with this Eggplant shirt with Tan Contrast from CR Ranch Wear. I always recommend finding one item that you love and creating your entire look based on that one piece. That item might be a shirt, your favorite scarf, or even an accessory that you know you have to have in your pictures!

I knew that I wanted to incorporate one of their amazing scarfs into the look so I decided to go with a more simple shirt that could be dressed up. I chose this Fuchsia silk scarf from CR Ranch Wear to dress up the look a bit.

Accessories can truly make a look go from ordinary to extraordinary so I chose some silver accessories like these drop earrings from Back in the Saddle and would even add on a silver cuff bracelet. I just so happened to stumble upon these Anderson Bean Brown Full Quill Boots with Rose Gold tops that I have been dying to use in a style board and I knew that the gorgeous brown tones of this Ostrich would go so perfectly with one of my favorite saddles, the Sunset Slider Saddle, from Continental Saddlery. Oh, and I can’t forget the perfect Purple Yucca Flats Saddle Pad from CR Ranch Wear.

Often times people ask if they should have their horse in full tack for pictures. I would say that I much prefer if you are doing a “western” or “show” type look that you have a saddle on your horse to complete the look. If you are going for the whimsical or more formal look, full tack isn’t necessary.

If you are at the NRBC this week in Katy,TX make sure you stop by my booth located near the coffee shop in vendor row! I am giving away a FREE Horse&Rider portrait session and I have my famous Apple Pie Sangria every afternoon.
