CROWDER RIDES ALPINES ON THE ROCKS | 10 – YEAR OLD WARMBLOOD GELDING | PINEHURST, TX
Kaitlyn Rose Crowder rides Alpines on the Rocks, affectionately known as Tito, a 10-year-old Warmblood gelding. Tito is a striking flea-bitten grey and stands out with his impressive height of 17.3 hands. They train together at Augusta Pines Farm, where Kaitlyn and Tito have formed a special bond.

Tito has a unique and funny personality. While he has his sassy moments, he is incredibly sweet and becomes a big softie once you get through his outer shell. He loves to try and make friends, often attempting to socialize in the lineup after a flat class, even when other horses aren’t as receptive. One of Tito’s unique traits is his love for bananas, which he goes crazy over!
Kaitlyn’s favorite memory with Tito is trotting him out in the field at their barn for the first time. She recalls, “He was having so much fun, and I don’t think I had ever seen him so happy! His ears were forward the whole time, and he had no intentions of slowing down or stopping! After that day, I made trotting him outside almost a daily thing, and he just genuinely enjoys it so much.”
Tito came into Kaitlyn’s life when his previous owner was leaving for college. Kaitlyn has had Tito for two years now, and their bond was evident from the first trial ride. Kaitlyn knew Tito was special from that moment on.
Kaitlyn has been riding for a total of five years, with four of those years spent at Augusta Pines Farm. Her aunt’s passion for riding played a significant role in inspiring Kaitlyn to start riding herself. Tito is Kaitlyn’s first horse, and the experience has been amazing for her. “My favorite thing is just knowing that they are really yours and not going anywhere!” she shares.
While Tito has earned many ribbons, Kaitlyn hopes they will achieve even more significant accomplishments by the end of the year. Their journey together is a testament to the strong bond and mutual trust they have built, making their partnership truly special.
