Memphis, Memphis Belle, is a Trakehner Mare. Memphis Belle is ridden by Aubrey Miller. She lives at Miller farms and trains at TML Equestrian.
Memphis Belle is a beautiful Trakehner bay mare. Memphis Belle has reddish brown hair, with black coloration on the mane, tail, ear edges, and lower legs. Aubrey says that one of the most distinguishable characteristics about Memphis Belle is her big beautiful eyes. Another thing that distinguishes Memphis Belle from other horses is her love to be independent. Memphis Belle does not like to be with other horses, but instead embraces her independence like no other.
The pair first met when Aubrey’s trainer brought in Memphis Belle for someone else to try out. Aubrey knew deep down that she had to try Memphis Belle out for herself. Something about her big beautiful eyes drew Aubrey in almost immediately. Aubrey ended up leasing Memphis Belle for one year. After that year was up, Aubrey knew she wanted to be Memphis Belle’s owner forever. Aubrey bought Memphis Belle after the year was up, and now the two have the best bond imaginable.
One thing that gets Memphis Belle up and going is an ice cold carrot. Memphis Belle can not resist the orange crunchy treat. Whenever Aubrey brings the delicious treat, Memphis Belle can’t help but get excited to get her reward after a day of hard work.
Aubrey first started riding when she was three. However, life got busy and Aubrey ended up taking twenty years off from riding. Even though Aubrey took some time off, the spark and love for riding remained deep down inside. After a long break, Aubrey leased Memphis Belle for a year, and ended up buying her and a farm all at once.
Aubrey shares that her favorite memory with Memphis Belle is when she came home after a two week long vacation. Aubrey missed Memphis Belle and the first thing she wanted to do when she got home was see her. As soon as Memphis Belle heard her voice, she came running over and gave Aubrey a big hug and wouldn’t leave her side. Aubrey shares that this is a huge deal for Memphis Belle as she is typically not very loving or affectionate. This memory will forever be cherished by Aubrey.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. With the help of the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show family, Karinda has raised over $30,000 for Candlelighter’s Houston since starting this project.
