LUNAI | 8 YEAR – OLD WARMBLOOD/ THOROUGHBRED CROSS MARE | FRISCO, TX
Meet Lunai, affectionately known as Ariel, a stunning bay Warmblood/Thoroughbred cross with a crescent moon-shaped star and socks on her front right and back left legs. Ariel is a cherished member of Haley Ploppert’s equestrian family, training under Tiffany Lee at TML Equestrian. Lunai resides at The Miller Farms.
Haley shares her favorite memory with Ariel: “My favorite memory with Ariel would have to be the day I got her. I’ve always dreamed of having a horse like her, but never thought I would actually have the opportunity to.”
Ariel was initially brought in as a sales horse for Haley’s trainer. During Haley’s search for a horse, she spent some time riding Ariel and quickly realized that Ariel was the horse she had been searching for all along. Ariel became part of Haley’s family, and by May, they will have been together for a year. Haley reflects, “It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. She truly is the horse I’ve always dreamed of.”
Ariel turned 8 this year, Ariel’s lineage traces back to Katherine Leblanc. Known for her sweet disposition, Ariel is one of the kindest mares Haley has ever met. She gives her all in every ride, always eager to please and be part of whatever is happening around her.
Ariel has a sweet tooth and particularly enjoys sour patch watermelon candy, as well as the more traditional apples and carrots.
One of Haley and Ariel’s proudest achievements came during their first time showing in the 3’ together at week 1 of Pin Oak, where they were Reserve Champion in the AA Hunters. It was Haley’s first time showing at that height and at Pin Oak, and winning reserve with Ariel was the cherry on top of an already amazing week.
Haley’s love for horses began as a child, always eager for pony rides at fairs. Ariel is the first horse Haley has been able to call her own, and the experience has been everything she dreamed of and more. Ariel has not only made many of Haley’s dreams come true but has also opened up opportunities Haley never thought possible.
Follow Haley and Ariel’s journey as they continue to achieve great things together at TML Equestrian.
