WHO DAT LADY | 9-YEAR-OLD AMERICAN SADDLEBRED MARE | WEATHERFORD, TEXAS

Meet Lady, the 9-year-old American Saddlebred known in the show ring as Who Dat Lady. With her elegant chestnut coat and a small whirl, Lady is a standout at Brian Hadley Stables in Weatherford, TX, where she trains under the expert guidance of Brian Hadley. This stable is renowned for its excellent care and top-notch training programs, providing a perfect home for Lady and her rider, Aislyn.

Aislyn, Mary Shumway’s granddaughter, shares a special bond with Lady. One of their most cherished memories together is their first show at the Big D Charity Horse Show. “They went out and had a blast and won their walk trot class. It was the first win for Lady and it was also Aislyn’s birthday. It couldn’t have been a better first time for both of them. That smile and joy lasted all weekend,” Mary recalls.

Lady is known for her affectionate personality and love for attention. She always wants all the kisses and love you can give her. “The day we got her, we went to the barn and it was love at first sight. She was so kind and loving,” Mary shares.

Lady has a particular fondness for cucumbers, but her new favorite treat is Starbursts Air Gummies. “She wants the whole bag and will not share. She even asks for more,” Mary laughs.

Aislyn started riding at the age of five and a half and will be 12 this year. She loves riding and aspires to make it her career, following in the footsteps of her great grandmother, who was a thoroughbred and quarter horse race trainer. “Horses are in her blood,” Mary proudly says.

Lady and Aislyn are excited about their future together and look forward to many more successful shows and cherished memories.
