WINTER MOON WHITE MAGIC | 12-YEAR-OLD MORGAN GELDING | WEATHERFORD, TEXAS

Meet Magic, the 12-year-old Morgan known in the show ring as Winter Moon White Magic. With his striking grey coat, Magic is sure to be noticed everywhere he goes. Jeanne Masters of Winter Moon Morgans bred Magic. Magic trains and lives at Brian Hadley Stables. Magic is owned by Jodi.

Magic holds the distinction of being the first Morgan of Color to compete outside the sport horse division. In 2022, he made a significant impact when he competed in the Park Saddle Amateur World Championship class and was tied for 3rd place by the judges. “The crowd did NOT agree and we went out with a standing ovation! This put THE GREY HORSE, as he is known widely in our show circle, on the map,” Jodi recalls with pride.

Magic’s journey to Jodi was one of patience and determination. “A friend owned and bred him. I saw him as a yearling and was infatuated. It took me 6 long years to acquire him! I have had him now for 5 years and he will never leave my side,” Jodi shares.

Magic has a personality as captivating as his appearance. “I am his person. Period. He will tolerate other riders and drivers, but for me, he gives his all, every time. He LOVES to give hugs and he is a big-time talker,” Jodi says. Magic’s favorite treat is watermelon, but he eagerly enjoys anything Jodi gives him.

Jodi’s equestrian journey began with three-day eventing in high school in 1998, and she has owned horses ever since. Her bond with Magic is incredibly special, and their journey together continues to be filled with accomplishments and cherished memories.
