Mr. Merry | The Seabreeze Farm | Seabrook, TX

MR. MERRY | 6 YEAR-OLD KWPN | SEABROOK, TX

Sirocco, Mr. Merry, is a KWPN Gelding. His sire is Vittorio and his dam is Zorra. He is trained by Tracey Forsythe at the Seabreeze Farm in Seabrook, TX.

Sirocco, the delightful horse, stands out with his four white socks, a striking large blaze on his forehead, and an adorable little belly spot on his left side. But his charm doesn’t end there. Sirocco is a huge cuddler, loving to nuzzle his face against your chest while you stroke his cheeks. He has a peculiar fondness for having his nose itched, relishing the feeling of his muzzle being rubbed.

Hannah, Sirocco’s owner, shares an endearing tale of how she discovered her beloved horse. Despite having only known him for a short time, their connection was undeniable from the moment they crossed paths. Hannah vividly recalls her journey to Ocala, eagerly scheduled to try out 16 horses, with Sirocco being the fifth on her list. The weather that day was unfortunate, with pouring rain dampening the atmosphere. Undeterred by the elements, she climbed onto Sirocco’s back and was immediately captivated by his exceptional performance. Something about him felt special, and Hannah had a strong intuition that he was the one. Still, she proceeded with her other appointments that weekend, but none could surpass the remarkable bond she felt with Sirocco. The following week, Hannah made the decision to bring him home, and since then, their bond has only grown stronger as they embark on an exciting journey together, getting to know each other in the most beautiful way.

This delightful horse has a clear favorite treat that never fails to put a sparkle in his eyes: apples and carrots. It’s no secret that he simply adores these crisp, juicy delights. Whenever Sirocco is presented with an apple or a carrot, his excitement is palpable, and he eagerly munches on them with sheer delight. However, it seems that Sirocco is quite the connoisseur when it comes to treats, as he has developed a discerning palate. He’s been known to spit out anything else that doesn’t meet his high standards. But when it comes to the sweet crunch of an apple or the satisfying crunch of a carrot, Sirocco’s joy is unmatched, making these his ultimate go-to treats.

Sirocco has already achieved notable accomplishments despite the relatively short time he has been with Hannah. One significant milestone was the opportunity to participate in the esteemed Pin Oak show. This achievement in itself speaks volumes about Sirocco’s talent and potential. Though their journey together has just begun, there is no doubt that the duo has a bright future ahead, filled with numerous remarkable accomplishments waiting to be attained.

Hannah’s passion for horse riding is a lifelong love affair that began at the tender age of 4. From the very beginning, she was surrounded by the grace and majesty of these magnificent creatures, and her parents played a pivotal role in nurturing her enthusiasm. Hannah’s journey into the world of horse riding commenced under the guidance of an exceptional trainer who laid the foundation for her equestrian endeavors. Throughout the years, she has explored various disciplines within the horse industry, immersing herself in Hunter/Jumpers, eventing, and dedicating focused efforts to dressage. She even embarked on a remarkable journey of restarting a thoroughbred from the track, taking the horse under her wing and leading it to a fresh start. Hannah’s ongoing equestrian adventure is characterized by a thirst for knowledge, eagerly absorbing new lessons from her equine partners every day. Beyond riding, she finds solace in the simple pleasure of observing her horses graze peacefully while she sits in her chair, absorbed in the pages of a good book. For Hannah, horses are not only a means of riding but also an endless source of beauty and wonder, enriching her life in ways that extend far beyond the saddle.

Hannah’s most cherished memory with Sirocco takes her back to the exhilarating experience of their first time tackling a substantial grid line together. With each attempt, they gradually raised the height of the jump, both Hannah and Sirocco growing more confident and eager to test the limits of their partnership. Hannah was particularly curious to feel the raw power behind Sirocco’s jumps. As they approached the final jump of the grid, set at an impressive 1.20 meters, Sirocco soared effortlessly over it, leaving no doubt in Hannah’s mind that she had found the perfect horse. In that remarkable moment, their connection solidified, and Hannah’s heart filled with joy and gratitude for the incredible journey she was embarking on with Sirocco by her side.
