Texas Cardigan Welsh Corgi Photographer | Townes

TOWNES | 1 YEAR-OLD CARDIGAN WELSH CORGI | HOUSTON, TX

Townes is a one-of-a-kind male Corgi with some truly unique characteristics. When he gets excited, he has a habit of emitting a playful howl-growl that is both hilarious and endearing. Those who know him well find it impossible not to smile when they hear this distinctive sound.

In addition to his vocal stylings, Townes is also known for his striking coat, which features a handsome combination of dark brindle and white fur. His corgi breed is already famous for its short legs, but his unique coat pattern makes him stand out even more.

Jackie, Townes’ owner, found him in a heartwarming way. Townes and his siblings were rescued from a slight hoarding situation, and thanks to a breeder friend of hers, they all found loving homes. Jackie stumbled upon a Facebook post featuring the litter and saw a little pup named “Baby Boy” with eyes that seemed to beg for love. She couldn’t resist his charm and decided to adopt him right away. Townes immediately settled into his new family, falling asleep in her husband’s arms during the ride home and continuing to snuggle with them every night since. It’s clear that Townes has found his forever home with Jackie and her family.

Townes has a discerning palate, and his favorite treat is definitely something special. While he enjoys a variety of snacks, there’s one indulgence that stands out above the rest – steak! His owners often joke that he’s always in the mood for a juicy cut of beef. They love to spoil him with a special steak dinner on occasion, and watching him happily munch away is a delight.

Townes may be small, but he’s mighty fast! In fact, he’s earned the title of “fastest corgi this side of the Mississippi.” This little pup has proven time and time again that he’s a natural-born runner, with a speed and agility that’s hard to match.

One of Jackie’s favorite memories with her beloved Townes is the first time he encountered a pool. They were spending time at a friend’s property, and while Townes was initially more interested in the cow patties in the pasture, that all changed when Jackie disappeared into the pool. As a self-proclaimed momma’s boy, Townes immediately made his way over to investigate, running full speed towards the big blue square. However, once he hit the water and realized the floor was gone, he began to flutter around at the surface. Jackie quickly scooped him up to safety, and while Townes gave the pool a wide berth from then on, the memory of his adorable reaction still brings a smile to her face.
