PIERRE | 9 YEAR OLD DANISH WARMBLOOD | MAGNOLIA, TX

Pierre is a Danish Warmblood Gelding. He lives at Manning Estates in Magnolia, TX, and trains with Taylor Manning.

Pierre is a delightful bay horse, adorned with a charming white star, snip, and a solitary back sock. Standing tall and proud, he’s a big fellow with a penchant for fussiness and a love for attention. With a personality that shines as bright as his coat, Pierre’s endearing charm and playful antics make him an absolute joy to be around.

Devon, Pierre’s owner, discovered her beloved horse through Christian at October Hill. Although she didn’t intend to try out any horses that day, when she laid eyes on Pierre, there was an instant connection. As soon as the staff brought him out, Devon knew in her heart that he was the one for her. Despite not having planned to take a horse home that day, Devon couldn’t resist Pierre’s charm and decided to take him home with her. It was a fateful encounter that led to a beautiful friendship between Devon and her beloved Pierre.

Pierre has a sweet tooth that can only be satisfied by his all-time favorite treat: apples! Whether he’s out in the pasture or spending time with his human companion, Pierre never turns down a juicy apple. But it’s not just apples that Pierre loves; he’s always on the lookout for new snacks to try. In fact, he’s been known to indulge in a bit of dumpster diving, just like a curious goat, to discover tasty morsels that might have been thrown away. But no matter what else he tries, apples will always hold a special place in Pierre’s heart (and stomach).

Pierre is a true champion, having achieved an impressive accomplishment at his last Katy show. With his exceptional talent and hard work, Pierre was able to claim the title of division champion, making both himself and Devon proud. His dedication to training and his natural ability have paid off in a big way, and it’s no surprise that he’s been recognized for his achievements. It’s safe to say that Pierre will continue to make waves in the equestrian world with his remarkable accomplishments and winning personality.

Devon’s love for riding horses began when she was a working student in law school. Looking for a way to relieve stress and take a break from her studies, she found solace in spending time with these magnificent animals. She soon discovered that riding provided her with a sense of connection and a much-needed mental break from her busy life. With every ride, Devon felt a special bond forming between herself and the horse, and the time spent together was truly therapeutic. Even now, as an accomplished rider, Devon still finds that the simple act of riding allows her to escape from the stresses of daily life and focus on the moment at hand.

Devon has made many cherished memories with her beloved horse Pierre, but one that stands out in her mind is a day they spent together at the barn. Pierre, with his endearing personality and love for attention, was in his element, and Devon couldn’t help but smile at his every move. As they worked together, Devon watched in amusement as Pierre’s mischievous side came out, especially when he found his way into the feed bin to indulge in his favorite treats. Despite his occasional antics, Devon was reminded of just how much she adored her fussy, lovable horse, and how much joy he brought to her life. For Devon, that day with Pierre was a reminder of the special bond they share and a memory that will be treasured for years to come.
