Bella, AVM Bellissima, is an Irish Sport Horse. Her sire is Cornet Obolensky who is by Heartbreaker. Her dam is Cassini I who is by Wisma. She was bred at Avonmore Stables in Ireland. Bella lives and trains at Arbor Hill Farm in Hugo, MN.
Bella, the dark brown horse, has some truly unique characteristics that make her stand out from the rest. Firstly, she boasts the most amazing tail that anyone has ever seen – it’s simply breathtaking! But Bella isn’t just a pretty face, she’s also incredibly brave and courageous, making her the ideal partner for any rider seeking an adventurous and exciting experience. Finally, Bella loves to be treated like a queen and she certainly deserves it with her regal demeanor and majestic presence. Anyone who has the pleasure of spending time with Bella is sure to be captivated by her charm and beauty.
Torie, Bella’s devoted owner, discovered her beloved horse during a visit to River Lodge Equestrian in Ireland, where she had sent her young horse for training. While there, Torie had the opportunity to take a riding lesson on Bella and was immediately smitten by her stunning appearance and friendly personality. After spending an incredible weekend exploring Southern Ireland on the back of Bella, Torie knew without a doubt that this beautiful horse was meant to be a part of her life forever. Torie was thrilled to bring Bella home with her and they have been inseparable ever since.
This charming horse with a sweet disposition, has a particular fondness for treats that are sweet and delicious. Whether it’s apples, carrots, or sugar cubes, Bella is always eager to indulge in a snack that satisfies her sweet tooth. She loves nothing more than the feeling of a sweet treat on her tongue, and her excitement is evident in the way she happily nibbles away at her favorite snacks.
Bella has a long list of impressive achievements to her name. She has competed at the prestigious FEI level in Europe, demonstrating her exceptional skill and athleticism. Along the way, Bella has also won numerous age classes, including the Irish Breeders Classic at the age of four and the 5-year-old class at Vilamoura in Portugal. Bella’s impressive accomplishments are a testament to her hard work and dedication, as well as the skill and expertise of her trainer and rider.
Torie’s adoration for horses took root at a young age, around six or seven years old. She was captivated by the majestic beauty of these animals even before she first rode a horse. Once she finally had the chance to climb into the saddle, Torie was hooked. Riding swiftly blossomed into a passion for her, and she found that horses brought her boundless happiness and purpose. Her affection for these magnificent creatures has only intensified over time, and Torie feels a profound connection to them. She cherishes the love and joy that horses have brought into her life and can’t envision a world without their presence.
Torie’s cherished memories with her beloved horse Bella are numerous, but one that stands out, in particular, is their exhilarating gallop along Curracloe beach in Ireland. The experience was truly unforgettable, as they rode at full speed with the wind in their hair and the ocean waves crashing behind them. Additionally, Torie was able to conquer her fear of jumping thanks to Bella. They tackled a cross-country course together, which was a first for Torie, and it helped her regain her confidence after a tough fall earlier in the year. Bella’s presence in Torie’s life has been a tremendous source of comfort and inspiration, and this memory is just one example of the many wonderful adventures they have shared together.

Portraits for Charity was an idea Karinda dreamt up to help give back to families impacted by Childhood Cancer in memory of her husband’s sister Jessica. During the 2023 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Karinda photographed around 150 Horses and Dogs and was able to donate just under $15,000 to Candlelighter’s Houston.
