LUXURY RIDE | 10 YEARS OLD DUTCH WARMBLOOD | DOUBLE OAK, TX

Corey, Luxury Ride, is a Dutch Warmblood Gelding. His sire is Connor 48 who is by Cassal Ask. His previous name under FEI was Heaven Quality, and this name accurately reflects Corey’s exceptional quality. Corey lives and trains at Brawley Farms in Double Oak, TX.

Corey’s distinctive features include a dark bay coat with two white socks on its hind legs and a small white marking resembling a mini-moon on its face. His endearing personality is akin to that of a giant Labrador. Impressively, the horse maintains a consistently calm demeanor whether at home or during shows, leading to the affectionate moniker “Steady Eddie.”

Corey’s preferred treats consist of apples, carrots, donuts, cookies, and chips – practically anything except peppermints.

If you’re a horse lover, you know the feeling of finding that one special horse. For Betsy, that horse was Corey. Betsy met Corey in Florida ten months ago when she was trying out horses. He was the first horse she tried, and she remembers thinking that it was going to be a tough decision if they were all as nice as him. Fast forward to June, and Betsy is now the proud owner of Corey, who she believes may be her horse of a lifetime.

Corey was imported to the US in 2021 by a trainer who had shown him in Europe and Florida. It was pure luck that his current owner was willing to sell him, and Betsy was able to buy him with the help of her trainer, Bob Brawley. Corey is an upper-level jumper, currently carrying Betsy through the high adult jumpers. The pair are hoping to move up to the next level after a few more shows together.

Aside from his jumping skills, Corey is known for his friendly and sociable nature. He is beloved by all the other horses in the barn who love to nicker at him. Betsy describes him as the “friendliest horse in the barn.”

For Betsy, her best memories with Corey include the moment she met him and realized he was the one, as well as their time together at shows. She is grateful to have found such a talented and kind horse and is excited about their future together.

If you’re in the market for a horse, it’s important to take your time and find the right one. Sometimes, it takes a bit of luck to find your perfect equine partner, but when you do, it’s an unforgettable feeling.
