Meet Ellie Mae, the English Cocker Spaniel owned and loved by Nada Wise. Ellie Mae may or may not look oddly familiar to a few of the dogs you will come across throughout this book. Well, they don’t all just look alike…Ellie is their sister! Ellie Mae’s brother, Phil, is also in our book and was photographed at Pin Oak last year. Phil’s mom, Sophie, works at Rendezvous Farm for Nada who also owns Ellie’s older sister, Lizzy.
When Ellie Mae came into Nada’s life, she wasn’t necessarily looking for a dog. She was going with Sophie who had her heart set on a puppy from the same breeder as Nada’s Lizzy. Sophie had always loved Lizzy so much and when she found out that the same breeder had a liter with Lizzy’s dad, she was determined to claim one. So, Nada and Sophie were set to go pick up the puppy together, although, Nada had something come up and couldn’t go…so Kurt (Nada’s husband) was the fill-in. On this beautiful day, Sophie got the puppy of her dreams, Phil, and just so happened to fall in love with his precious little sister, Ellie Mae. Much to Nada’s surprise, Sophie had decided that Ellie Mae would be the perfect addition to Nada’s family and Lizzy need a little sis!
