Meet Oliver, the 5-year-old Parti Yorkie who has the silkiest-soft black coat you could ever dream of. He has hints of white throughout his coat, on his toes, dashing white eyebrows, and the cutest little underbite. Oliver is owned and madly adored by Carly Lazzari. Oliver lives at the Lazzari Residence with many of his other four-legged brothers and sisters. Cats, dogs, horses, mini-donkeys…you name it, they’ve probably got it!
Carly shares her favorite memory with Oliver which was the week she brought him home. “I have never had a dog that was all mine before – we have always had family dogs. Oliver was just for me. I was hesitant to see if he would fit in and if our other animals would accept him, especially considering how tiny he was…only 1.3 lbs the night I brought him home. Our other dogs were definitely confused at first but adapted quickly, as Oliver did too. He was making himself right at home curling up anywhere he fit to sleep. The whole first week he and I were able to spend so much time bonding with one another. He came to the barn with me and learned what “barn chores” were, played outside, and most importantly he loved snuggling on the couch! He quickly became attached and found his role as MY dog! We are bonded and inseparable. I can’t imagine life without him, he’s the best puppy ever!”
Carly adopted Oliver about 5 years ago from a Veterinary Clinic in Boerne, TX. He was the last puppy in his liter and needed a home. Knowing Carly’s weakness for cute adorable puppies…they immediately thought to call her to ask if she wanted to take him. She shared that she was hesitant at first when they mentioned the puppy was a boy but said she would take him for the night to see how he and the other animals got along with one another…including their other Yorkie, Georgia (who runs the house). Of course, he fit in perfectly and they have had him ever since!
Oliver is known to have the absolute sweetest personality. A friend to everyone, but always has his eye on his mom making sure she’s near. He absolutely loves to be held…all of the time. He has the cutest underbite and sticks his tongue out just a tiny bit when resting or when he gets excited. When you’re petting him he will sit on his booty and lift his arm up so you can pet his chest. This bundle of love is only 5 lbs but he thinks he’s 55 lbs. He loves to protect his mom when they’re laying on the couch at night or if anyone sneaks up from behind her.
Oliver isn’t a stranger to treats, he loves any and all treats his mom will allow, especially his peanut butter-flavored bones.
