Meet Rocky, an 11-year-old German Shepherd mix. Rocky is a gorgeous boy with a mixed coat of black, tan, and white. Rocky is owned and adored by Leanne and Harry Hinners.
Rocky was adopted from the Harris County Animal Shelter in 2013. Harry, Leanne’s husband, realized he had been missing a 4 legged friend in his life. He went to the Harris County vet to meet his potential best friend. As he was walking through the kennels one dog stood up on his back legs and looked over the walls watching him the whole time. They met and it was then that they both immediately knew they had been waiting for each other. Rocky has been with Harry ever since.
Shortly after he was first adopted Leanne brought him to a friend’s ranch. He had never really been off-leash before and as soon as she let him go he bolted…she feared that she’d never see him again. But shortly after he had explored enough he came back! Now he does great at being in big open spaces.
Rocky has been on many adventures with the Hinners Family including hiking in the Rockies.
Rocky’s favorite treat is Peanut Butter or left-over steak!
