Liroy 30 “Liroy” | Fairway Farm Allen, TX | Colleen Acosta

Liroy 30, better known as Liroy around the barn, is a 13-year-old WarmbloodDetLef. Liroy is by Levistano and King out of Kate. He is a shiny Chestnut gelding with only one white sock. Liroy is owned and loved by Olivia Clayton who trains with Britt McCormick at Fairway Farms in Allen, TX.

During the last Winter Series show in Katy, Olivia watched Liroy and Taylor Land perform. The pair won multiple classes such as the Welcome Stake and placed 2nd in the Antares Grand Prix. When Olivia sat on him, she said they clicked immediately. Although she hasn’t had Liory for long, only purchasing him during week 4 of the Winter Series, she was familiar with him and his previous owner and watched the pair dominate over the last 4 years. Like some of us crazy obsessed horsey girls, Olivia has been known to sit on a horse and immediately fall in love, “this is it, it’s the perfect match! Let’s buy this one!”, possibly speaking too quickly, but she shared that when she tried Liroy it was different and she knew deep down that he was the one. The fact that the pair both have matching hair, I mean…it’s meant to be! What little girl doesn’t dream of matching with her pony?!

“Over the past few weeks of knowing him, I’ve come to learn he’s a very personable and extremely hungry boy. He loves the Sunkist fruit gems… his absolute favorite. He’s been a very good partner here at Pin Oak thus far, taking me into the highs on our first official outing.” Olivia is ecstatic about the future yet to come with Liroy.

Liroy is always begging for attention and has some funny little quirks for getting people’s attention. Olivia shares that if she’s turned around he will do anything to get her to come back. But, as soon as he walks into the ring, whether home or a show, he’s all business.

Liroy’s favorite treats are Sunkist Fruit Gems and also loves eating carrot cakes thanks to Christina Schwier!

Olivia has been riding for 12 years now. She got her first pony, Rambur’s Brown Sugar, at 8 years old. She shares that her favorite thing about horses “is the special connection you create with them. They are such personal animals, and they never fail to make me happier.”
