LINCOLN | 8 YEARS OLD THOROUGHBRED | CARENCRO, LA

Stinkers, Lincoln, is a Thoroughbred Gelding. His sire is Lady Button Eyes and his dam is Tenpins. Stinkers lives and trains with Brooke Miller at Brooke Miller Equestrian in Carencro, LA.

Lincoln is a friendly chestnut with four white socks, a star on his forehead, and a snip on his nose. He’s a real head-turner with his unique facial markings that stand out in the crowd. Lincoln has a larger-than-life personality that makes him a joy to be around. He eagerly waits every evening for Brooke, his owner, to finish teaching so that he can enjoy his alfalfa. As soon as he hears the familiar voice, Lincoln expresses his excitement with a deep nicker, making sure that Brooke knows to drop off his alfalfa before leaving.

Brooke discovered Lincoln, one of two available horses from the race track, and chose him over a dapple grey. Despite quarter cracks on both front hooves, Brooke chose the underdog, who turned out to be a priceless companion.

When it comes to treats, this classy clown has a clear favorite – German Muffins! This chestnut horse’s eyes light up with excitement at the mere mention of this delicious snack.

Lincoln, once an off-the-track reject, has achieved success as a 1.20 jumper and also enjoys competing in eventing, particularly cross country. With a free spirit and determination, he has surpassed expectations and Brooke is proud of all his accomplishments.

Brooke’s love for horses began at a young age, leading her to start English riding lessons at 10. Her favorite part of owning horses is simply being in their presence, watching them graze and roam the pastures. She feels grateful for the opportunity to bond with these magnificent animals and share in their world.

Brooke’s favorite memory of Lincoln dates back to the Retired Racehorse Project in 2017. Since then, their friendship has only grown stronger. Lincoln has a quirky personality that always manages to bring a smile to her face. He’s so playful that they joke about him being a herding dog in a past life, often nipping at ankles like a pup. As his Jockey Club name suggests, Classy Clown is a total clown in the best way possible. He loves to roll in the arena, especially after coming home from a horse show. Seeing him gallop and roll in the ring never fails to lift Brooke’s spirits and remind her of the joy that comes with spending time with a beloved horse.
