IDLE KNOW | 11 YEAR OLD APPENDIX QUARTER HORSE | FAIR GROVE, MO
Irene, Idle Know, is an Appendix Quarter Horse. Irene’s sire is Knowtorious Son from St. Louis.
Irene is the princess of the barn. She makes this known with her quirky personality. Irene also gets very disappointed when her owner, Gina, falls off. If Gina falls Irene just looks at her like, “what are you doing, Mom,” and walks back to the barn or trailer in disgust. The pair competes in Jumpers, Irene is very game and has a very competitive nature. She absolutely loves to go and jump.
Irene was owned by another boarder at the barn and Karissa introduced Gina to her. Gina has owned her for a little over a year. The first time Gina met and rode her no one was sure if they would get along, she was the complete opposite of what Gina was looking for, but Gina fell in love as soon as she got on Irene.
This princess loves Nicker Makers.
The pair has been successful at the local shows they have attended and place consistently.
Gina started riding around four years ago, and Irene is her first horse. She shares that is is very freeing and wonderful to ride, and even more when she jumps. She says, it may be very cliche, but there truly is no bond like it and she is very lucky to have found it.
“We were at a local show and had already one the other class in our division. The round was going great and it looked like we were going to take home division champion until we turned and my saddle slipped. I fell and “rolled out of frame” and Irene literally turned around, gave a huge sigh, walked out of the arena and headed towards the trailer like “all you had to do was stay on”. This was the first time I fell off of her and she does this now every time I fall. It cracks me up.”
Gina shares that Irene really loves the massage foam with the blue liquid in it.
