GUNNIE | 5 YEAR OLD APPALOOSA GELDING | JEFFERSON CITY,MO
Gunnie is a 5 year old Appaloosa gelding. Gunnie’s grand sire is a money earner in Reining and his grand dam is a ROM holder in Western Pleasure.
Gunny lives with his owner Chantal at her property. He is her big baby. Cantal has taken care of him since he was born, he was such a sweet lover boy who wanted all of the attention for himself. He was an in your pocket, love on me kinda guy, from the very beginning. Gunny is super sensitive to the world with allergies to all sorts of bugs. Gunny is as mischievous as he is sweet. Chantal rides him as an all around horse mostly anything that is low impact and less stressful to his legs.
This loving boy adores apples.
Chantal shares her favorite story about Gunnie, “Gunnie and I have so much history. Majority of it he spent healing after not one but two different injuries to his left hind leg. It took 2 years from start to finish before we could start riding again. We took many hand grazes after work, bandage changes but we are finally at the point that we are back in training full time and making leaps and bounds! The day he injured his leg for the second time I was so worried that at 2 years old I would be putting him down due to the severity of the injury. He proved to be much tougher than I thought and even though we had days where we got super worried he pushed through and made it through. He is a sensitive soul but so very tough and brave.”
Make sure you head over and check out Chantal’s other horse Im a Rascal Jac.

Sun’s up Guns up! ❤️
This is awesome!! I love it!
This guy has won all our hearts, his patience during his healing process was admirable. Always good, knowing we love him and he tried as hard as we did. Injuries behind him, he is still the lovable guy he always has been. It was amazing to watch his training process, always eager to please Chantal, and you could see the pride he had in himself. They are a great team!
