AMAZE ME | 3 YEAR OLD APHA PAINT MARE | PARIS, KY

Daisy, Amaze Me, is a 3 year old Paint mare. Little is known about her breeding as she was rescued from the stock yards.

Daisy is owned by Cindy of Fox Run Farm. Daisy was at the stockyards, he knee was swollen and she had strangles. She was only 2 years old, very sick, and injured. Cindy, immediately saw a marking on her side that looked like a Welsh Pony head on her left side and knew instantly that she was supposed to come home with her.

This “curious” girl loves carrots.

Now that Daisy is all healed up and growing up, I can not wait to see what Cindy does with this sweet girl. She was so incredibly well behaved for her pictures even as a 3 year old who most likely went through a lot in her first 2 years of life.

Cindy, is a life long horse person, born and raised on a horse farm. She has a trainers license and has taught the Kentucky Equine Education Program at the Kentucky Horse Park. Cindy and her family have rescued and trained several thousands of ponies in the past 35 years, and has pictures and amazing stories about each one. I had the pleasure of getting to see Cindy’s office and the albums upon albums of images of all of the horses that she and her family have rescued. It is really amazing to get meet so many amazing people who really believe in giving horses a second chance. In the morning I got to spend with Cindy I can promise you one thing, she pours her heart and soul into each horse that she rescues and each and every horse that has come through her barn is so incredibly lucky to be given a new life. Cindy shares, “I love giving a pony a chance to have a good life.”

When I asked Cindy to share her favorite memory of Daisy she shared, “Daisy came to our farm very ill. Even though she was in isolation from the others she never showed her frustration. She forgave the bad experiences of her past and moved forward with an excellent attitude. This spring I took her to a trick clinic to expose her to a new situation. She quickly understood what I wanted from her and tried hard to please.”
